Once an individual as decided to become an airline pilot, he or she must first decide upon a training program. HM Aviation offers a first class training program which prepares the student for flight training abroad before leaving India. Although it is an exciting experience to travel to another country for flight training, it is best to leave prepared.
Nice in the host country, the first training an individual will undertake is the Private Pilot License. This is where the individual learns to fly an aircraft. The candidate must also complete ground school and a written exam in addition to a flight test. The Private Pilot License completes the first step of the training. This license gives the holder the privilege of flying an aircraft and passengers, but does not give the holder the privilege of earning a salary while flying.
The next step is in trainng for the Commerial Pilot License. The Commercial Pilot Training Course is where the student learns to be a professional pilot. The student builds upon the knowledge and flight skills they already have. The student introduced to more advanced procedures such as flying by reference to instruments, advanced navigation and advanced emergency procedures. The student must complete additional ground school, and pass another written as well as another flight test.
The Commercial Pilot License allows the holder the privilege of earning a salary while flying. For the aspiring airline pilot, more training needs to be completed. Every airline and corporate pilot must compete their multi-engine and instrument rating. The multi-engine rating allows the holder the privilege of flying an aircraft with more than one engine. The instrument rating allows the holder the privilege of flying an aircraft in weather below that permissible under visual flight rules.
Often, a job as an airline pilot is not the first flying job of a pilot will hold. A pilot may gain experience as a charter pilot before joining an airline. Another popular route is to become a flight instructor. The flight instructor’s rating trains one to prepare lesson plans and teach others to become pilots. This is a very rewarding way for many to enter the field of aviation.
Finally, an individual must pass the airline’s selection process including interviews, aptitude tests, and simulator evaluations. The cadet program at HM Aviation prepares every student for this process. It is an exciting to train become a pilot, and leads to a very rewarding career.
