The entire program takes approximately 18 months, including the training in India before and after the flight training. The actual length will vary from student to student. The student must be 17+ years of age, and possess a Class 1 Aviation Medical to enter the program. An HM Aviation psychometric examination and interview are also required. The flight training portion lasts approximately 9 months.

After the completion of flight training, 45 days of classes for the DGCA are taken. The student undergoes 3 months airline preparation training as the final step. The student will be prepared for the airline selection process which involves interviews, aptitude, simulator, and psychometric tests.
